Legal Issues

Many problems or issues that individuals and families face have legal aspects to them and may involve them in legal processes. For legal information or advice, Queensland Law Society can recommend local lawyers who do Legal Aid funded work, as well as those who have a specialist focus. Apart from local law firms, there is also some assistance available through community based and government sponsored legal services, some of which have video-conferencing capability, as listed below. There is also the Queensland Public Interest Law Clearing House who can refer people to lawyers who might be able to take up a “public interest” case on their behalf (free of charge).
