Building
and Construction Industry Training Fund
The Queensland Government, with the support of industry,
provides additional financial incentives to employers within
the building and construction (and related) industries who
recruit apprentices and trainees. An additional incentive
is also available to employers in selected skill shortage
areas within the building and construction (and related) industries
who employ a female apprentice or trainee.
Disabled
New Apprentice Wage Support Program
The Disabled New Apprentice Wage Support Program provides
additional assistance to eligible employers who recruit an
apprentice or trainee with a disability.
First
Start
Hiring an additional apprentice or trainee could attract
a subsidy of up to $16 000 to your organisation. That's the
size of the incentive that the Queensland Government pays
public sector agencies and not-for-profit community organisations
who take on additional job seekers.

Indigenous
Incentives
Wage Assistance provides an incentive to employers to provide
ongoing employment to eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander job seekers. Wage Assistance pays a salary subsidy
to employers of up to $4400 over 26 weeks for full-time work,
or up to $2200 over 26 weeks for part-time work of at least
15 hours per week. The employer and the job seeker must satisfy
eligibility criteria to receive this subsidy.

of up to $2200 (inc. GST) to your business. That's the size
of the subsidy the Queensland Government pays private sector
employers and group training organisations that take on apprentices
in skill shortage industries.

Training Incentives
Youth Training Incentives provide public sector and private
sector employers cash incentives to increase school-based
apprenticeship and traineeship positions, particularly in
rural and remote communities.
