Employment Incentives and Assistance
Building
and Construction Industry Training Fund
The Queensland Government, with the support of industry,
provides additional financial incentives to employers within
the building and construction (and related) industries who
recruit apprentices and trainees. An additional incentive
is also available to employers in selected skill shortage
areas within the building and construction (and related) industries
who employ a female apprentice or trainee.
Disabled Australian Apprentice Wage Support
The Disabled New Apprentice Wage Support Program provides
additional assistance to eligible employers who recruit an
apprentice or trainee with a disability.
First
Start
Hiring an additional apprentice or trainee could attract
a subsidy of up to $19 000 to your organisation. That's the
size of the incentive that the Queensland Government subsidises not-for-profit community and local government organisations who take on additional job seekers

Green Army Traineeship
Green Army Trainees have 12 months paid work and training with organisations.
Eligible Green Traineeships will generally be targeted at Certificate II and III levels in a range of occupations including but not limited to:
Conservation and Land Management
Horticulture
Waste and Water Management.
Green Traineeships are primarily for young persons aged 15-24 years without post-school qualifications who need a nationally accredited qualification to get their 'first start' in the workforce. Green Traineeships will provide regional coverage and target locations of high unemployment, including urban fringe communities, and ensure all equity groups have the opportunity to participate.
Indigenous Wage Subsidy (IWS)
Indigenous Wage Subsidy (IWS) is an incentive paid to employers when they employ eligible Indigenous Australians on an ongoing basis – criteria applies .
